The lava nest fire pit consists of a hemispherical shell made of basalt volcanic fibers and a domed steel shell. Including a stainless steel Teppanyaki grill surface and a stainless steel grill surface.
Lava nest fire pit - the fabric of the Nest fire pit is formed from basalt fibres into this unique fire pit in an elaborate process. Lava stones are heated at 1450 degrees Celsius to create a liquid mass. The mass is then extruded through fine nozzles to form endless fibres. The fibres are cooled and then placed on a mould by hand. This makes each pattern of the fireball nest unique. An eco-glue fixes the fabric before it is then finished and cured on the surface with a bullet-liner, an environmentally friendly, ecological product based on polyurea. After this long process, the new hand-moulded lava nest fire pit is almost ready.
However, the shape alone does not yet enable fire and barbecue pleasure a la Rufer®. Inside the lava nest fire pit, a fire bowl made of steel, together with the grill grate and Teppanyaki are added. The teppanyaki, as well as the grill grate, is made of 10mm solid stainless steel.
